Challenge: Each year AITC-M elects one teacher for their own Teacher Driver Award. I was hired to showcase 2023’s winner by creating a video. The greatest challenge of this project was time.

Jessica, the teacher receiving the award works in Brandon, MB so I drove out Sunday night to get an early start on Monday morning. I spent the morning at a high school in Brandon and then drove out to her farm near Souris to continue with our interview and capture additional footage. I got home late Monday and evening and had a completion deadline that same Wednesday, since the video was needed for their AGM on Thursday.

Solution: I stayed up as late and worked as hard as I needed to get video done on time. I stayed in close contact with AITC-M’s communications manager throughout the editing process and had the video complete by noon Wednesday.

Result: This video debuted at AITC-M’s AGM in a banquet hall with 80-100 attendees. Aside from receiving accolades from AITC-M’s staff and executive director, Jessica was thrilled with how I showcased her farm and classroom.
